The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change conferred the Gaj Gaurav Award 2026 during World Elephant Day celebrations held in Visakhapatnam. Seven staff of Jaldapara National Park were recognised for rescuing six stranded captive elephants during flash floods.
