Kirti Chakra awardee Major General Sunil Kumar Razdan passes away

Major General Sunil Kumar Razdan (Retd), a Kirti Chakra awardee and India's first wheelchair-borne General, passed away on 13 August 2026 at the age of 70. He led a 1994 counter-terrorist operation in Kashmir in which hostages were rescued despite his severe injuries.
